Travel Gadget: Nintendo DS
The Nintendo DS is a perfect travel gadget in my opinion and I always carry one when I travel. Not only do they have a wide range of games, they can also be used for learning.
Being a grown man with a Nintendo DS sometimes I do get stares, but I really don’t care anymore.

Nintendo DS
For those of you who do not know what a Nintendo DS is, it is smaller than a checkbook, folds open and has two small screens. Although obviosulsy designed for kids, Nintnedo has come out with a large number of programs you use as an adult to learn.
Some of these programs for adults include BrainAge, foreign language programs, vocablulary building, and some adult orientated games.
Nowadays more and more software companies are coming up with game console programs designed for adults to be interested in.
One of the best parts that I like about the Nintendo DS is the long batter life. Although I have not used other similar devices, this thing seems to recharge very quickly and actually hold its charge for along time.
Most trips I don’t have to recharge it at all, so I don’t even carry the recharging cable with me anymore. Normally it will go for a week for me before I have to recharge it.
Programs/games for it run from $9 to $39. I used a program called Gamefly which is a video game rental place that charge a monthly fee, but I stopped doing that and now just try to find cheap games on the internet/ebay.
If you need more entertainment while on standby, I highly recommend a Nintendo DS.
